Knowledge Hub/Property Transfer Process & Timelines

How long does a property transfer take in Dubai?

The timeframe for a Dubai property transfer depends on the circumstances of both the buyer and seller, as well as the requirements involved in the transaction.

As a general guide, a straightforward cash-to-cash transaction may complete within approximately 2–4 weeks, while transactions involving mortgages may take 4–8 weeks or longer.

However, these are indicative timeframes rather than guaranteed completion dates. An existing mortgage on the seller's property, a buyer's mortgage approval, developer NOC requirements, bank settlement procedures, overseas parties or additional documentation can all affect the timeline.

CLC reviews the circumstances of both parties at the outset, identifies the key stages and dependencies, and coordinates the transaction towards completion with a realistic plan based on the requirements involved.
